Summer has started at our house!  We have the pool up, squirt guns out, and today had an afternoon filled with water balloons.  I’m thrilled to have a taste of summer with my “big” kids before the baby comes.

Beaver Creek Holds Annual Bluebird Festival


Beaver Creek Reserve’s Annual Bluebird Festival is set for Sunday, May 20 from 1-4 p.m. at Hickory Hills Golf Course located three miles south of Eau Claire. People of all ages are invited to celebrate six years of bluebird progress at this free event.  Event activities include a tour of a bluebird trail, a bluebird presentation, learn how to build and maintain a bluebird nest box, hourly raffles, kid’s activities, bluebird apparel sale and opportunities to connect with nature in a way that benefits the community. River Bluff Youth Horse Camp

SAMmy’s (Strength Among Moms Ministry), an interdenominational Bible study and fellowship group for moms of all ages and walks of faith, offers weekly groups in Eau Claire. The morning group meets from 9:30 to 11 a.m., and the evening group meets from 6:30 to 8 p.m. Both groups meet on Wednesdays at Harvestime Church when Eau Claire schools are in session from September through May. Saturday, May 19 - Women in the Outdoors Event

This program is designed to introduce women and girls to outdoor activities and train them to be outdoor educators, and provide a network for women with similar outdoor interests. Enjoy classes in basket weaving and making dreamcatchers. Included in the registration fee is breakfast, lunch, and up to four classes. Keynote speaker is Joe Knight, "Discovering the Outdoors by Accident."

"Adventures Along the Spectrum" will talk about the sky seen from radio telescopes to X-ray telescopes. A host will orient you to the current night sky, answer questions and discuss constellations and sky motions.

Thursday, June 7 - MOMS Club of Eau Claire-North

The MOMS Club of Eau Claire-North invites moms who live in zip codes 54703, 54729, and 54739 to our monthly meet-up on the second Thursday of each month to learn more about our group and our monthly calendar of fun events. The MOMS Club is a national, nonprofit, nondenominational support group where mothers and their children of all ages are welcome. We have a variety of daytime activities and field trips that we do throughout the month, so please check us out!
