Sunday, September 5 through Monday, September 6 - Ski Sprites 50th Anniversary Celebration

Please note that the Ski Sprites Water Ski Team will have their 50th Anniversary celebration at Lake Altoona County Park on Sunday, September 5 and Monday September 6. On Sept. 5, at 5:30pm, the Ski Sprites perform their water ski show. Then 7:30-9pm, enjoy two bands will perform on the beach (variety band and blue grass band). At 9pm, a lighted boated parade on the lake front. At 9:45pm, fireworks on the lake front. A shuttle will pick you up at the corner of River Prairie Dr & HWY 53 (watch for signs).

Running before and alongside the last show of the Ski Sprites Water Ski Show Team’s season, this 2nd annual event will see teams compete to build the best granular fortress they can imagine. A Ski Sprites show takes place at 2pm.

The Young Athletes Program(YAP) sponsored by River Source Family Center and Special Olympics invites you to join in on the fun.  This will be held a the Northern Center-Head Start Building for 8 weeks beginning July 7, 2010.  This is open to all children ages 2-7years of age, regardless of cognitive and/or physical abilities.  Children will learn large motor skills through a  specifically developed variety of large motor activities.  Parents will take part in discussions regarding the social/emotional development of their children.
